I started my new class (on Database Concepts) last Tuesday. Therefore, updates on the website will slow down for the next four weeks (since the first week is pretty much over). I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Saint Patrick's Day. We took the girls to Seattle Center and the Seattle Children's Museum. They enjoyed it tremendously.

Yes, I know that Spring does not officially start until the end of March, but in my book, March is a Spring month. I know that some of you are chuckling because the beginning of March is typically cold and wet, but since I live in the greater Seattle area, I can't use criteria like that to determine a season or else we would have nine months of winter. The good news is that I was able to get the new Spring theme completed, and I think that most of you will be happy with the change.

For one thing, we will be switching to a black on white print model (as opposed to the white text on a black background model that we currently have). It should be easier on the eyes. The new graphics will also be a nice change of pace. In the meanwhile, I will continue to try and improve and add to the site in the snippets of free time I have. Still on Break

I am still on break from class (for another three weeks), and there is still so much left to do before then. I definitely need to finish the new spring-time theme for the site, and I hope to have one more non-family news blog post before I go back to class. I have also restored the Interests section of the website (though there is currently nothing in there as I had deleted all the content when I killed off that part of the site years ago). I listed the reasons in that section. However, I doubt that I will get to update or add anything there during this break.

Meanwhile, we are still enjoying life and hope that all of you (and your families) are in the best of health and spirits. Take care of each other and God bless!

Back for a While

I just finished my latest college course, which means that I will be out of school for the next five weeks (before I start my next class). I am trying to take advantage of the saved time to update the site a bit and post a fraction of the mountain of material that I have stacked up. I am also a little distracted by my shiny new Apple iPhone 4s. Though "distracted" is the right word. I am not head over heels with it... or any smartphone for that matter. While I am at it, I would like to post a reminder (in case you did not see it on Facebook or your email) that we killed off our landline.
